The Youngest!

Temperamentally, the youngest definitely takes after me.

She doesn't take shit well.

She wants to do what she wants to do now.

Sure, most younger kids are like that.

But she's definitely more aggressive than the eldest, takes more risks and has much less fear.  She'll kill the bug while her sister runs away and squeals. She'll hit the boy who takes her toy, although she does ball her eyes out when the boy whacks her back.

I'm working on teaching her that actions have consequences.  If your actions have undesirable consequences, crying doesn't solve anything.

She wasn't that much of a picky eater, unlike the eldest.  Although she has become more picky of late.

These are not bad traits.  But all together it does mean that she needs more guidance.

I've learned that threatening with corporal punishment is not the best way to deal with her when she's acting up.  You've got to try and reason, discuss, or distract.  Focus her attention on something more productive and acceptable.

They are both strong minded girls, but then thinking of myself and their mom, that's only natural.

Just teach them to self respect, and keep them off the pole or the cleaning trolley
