Tattoo Park!

Earlier this afternoon I went roamin for a couple of hours.

I passed by the tattoo park.  Back in the day it used to be a small valley that contained a fetid stream.  A farmer raised turkeys that he sold to a restaurant in Yeoju that made soup out of em.

Now its a really nice place.  There is a large ampitheater, basketball courts, some exercise equipment, an indoor swimming pool, and a small ice rink.  Every year the tattoo festival happens there, and during the World Cup the city sets up some huge TVs.

That and the new Hanji Park must have set the city back a few million.

I ended up downtown.  Downtown Wonju sucks.  Its old and dirty.  But its still the best place to buy cheap kimchi and veggies.

I bought some spicy oyster kimchi, some marinated crab, and some marinated quail eggs side dishes.  They'll go well with the curry June has planned for dinner.

Nom.
