Chauffeur!

One great service for the chronic alcoholic is the paid driver.

For a nominal fee, someone will show up and drive you and your car to whatever location you desire.

If you're toasted and can barely see straight, or would rather not risk the chance of coming up against a police roadblock, this service is a life saver indeed.

Of course, your insurance won't cover this type of driver, so if he smashes your car into a light post or - god forbid -  another car, you are thoroughly screwed.  But let's not be a negative nancy now, hmmm?

Usually its costs about 7-8000 won to get to your destination.  Last night the driver ended up dropping off four of us before he was able to go off and do another job.  That was actually cheaper than a taxi.

Nice!

huh. Heard on one of the English language stations this morning they were doing a segment on this very thing. I don't know which channel it was, but they were teaching an English lesson that was painful to listen to. You're famous!
